It's been a very long time since I've posted on this blog - shame on me. On the other hand, I've been really busy in my workshop and in the garden, so I don't feel too guilty I guess. These little lovebirds are my first wedding cake toppers - I had so much fun making them that I've got several more sets in the works. I picked up some neat vintage silk ties, some doilies and an old bridal veil at the Mennonite Central Committee Thrift Shop in New Hamburg - and some tiny sweet paper flowers at a craft store, so I've lots of new goodies to work with.
These birdies have already been sold, and are on their way to a wedding in Quebec, yay!
