Whoever said that working from home is easy?

I really have no reason not to get back into my workshop. It's about as neat and organized as it's ever been, and I'm itching to get in there and mess it up a little! The house is clean, laundry is done, homechurch is over for another week and groceries are purchased.

Well - the sun IS shining and the backyard does really need raking, the garage is a mess and could use a good tidy-up and I should get cooking soon because the kids are coming for dinner....

What a deal!

My daughter and I love poking through some of the thrift shops around town, mainly the Salvation Army, The Menonnite Central Committee Thrift Shop and Goodwill. I'm always hunting for vintage doilies, fabrics, buttons, postcards etc. and we both love old children's picture books. Many of my little handmade critters are inspired by storybook illustrations. Lucky finds from the past week include two books - an adorable nursery rhyme book from 1958 in perfect condition, and a Little Golden prayer book illustrated by Eloise Wilkin. They're both super cute, and they only cost 35 cents each!

Procrastination!

I just realized today that I haven't made a single bunny, chick or duckling for Easter this year. I did make this little lop-eared needle felted rabbit in January, but she flew off to her new home just in time for Valentine's Day.
I'm looking forward to spending the next couple of days in my workshop to see what I can come up with! Hopefully I'll have some new pictures to post by the end of the week.
